Crystal Palace: 'Beware in this transfer window' - how long can Eagles keep Eze and Olise?

Former Chelsea and Everton winger Pat Nevin, writing for the BBC Football Extra newsletter: "Crystal Palace and Brentford are progressive clubs, but at the wrong end of the table.

"The Bees now face a relegation dogfight after succumbing to a couple of the purest talents currently operating outside the big-name clubs.

"For years, Palace leaned on the genius of Wilfried Zaha, but both his understudies - Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise - have grown in stature and influence since their friend moved on to Galatasaray.

"Palace fans - beware in this transfer window because all the big clubs are aware and covetous of their stars. These are players whose styles I would pay to watch every week, but crucially they are now delivering the numbers.

"Eze was in double figures for goals last season - not bad for a team in the lower half of the table, but even better when you factor in his assists. He scored one goal in every four games for his club last season, his best return yet.

"Olise may be even more impressive. At 22, he has come alive, after a variety of injuries, scoring five goals in his nine starts this season. His 10 Premier League assists last season put him fourth, with only Kevin de Bruyne (16), Mo Salah (11) and Leandro Trossard (11) pipping him.

"The top sides have lots of money, plenty of influence and some are getting desperate.

"Enjoy these two as long as you can, Palace fans. Sadly they might not be there much longer."
